ABOUT MATT DICKINSON Matt studied anthropology in college before beginning a career in television. After training for four years at the BBC he went freelance in 1988 to produce and direct adventure documentaries for, among others, the BBC, National Geographic Television, the Discovery Channel, and the Arts & Entertainment Network. Matt Dickinson's recent journeys have included a sea voyage by yacht to Antarctica, the first descent of the perilous rapids of the Brahmaputra River, the world hang gliding altitude record at over 40,000ft, and a walk across the inhospitable Namib Desert. His programmes have been shown in more than thirty five countries and won more than 20 international film festival awards.
