Daniel Topolski  is a successful rowing coach and author of the book 'True Blue' which won 'Sport Book of the Year' in 1990.

Daniel Topolski`s story has gone down in the history of British sport as one of the greatest underdog victories of all time, when Oxford - despite the walk out of five American Internationals just six weeks before the event - went on to beat Cambridge by four boat lengths.

A double Rowing Blue himself, Daniel's experience of turning the tides in the face of adversity has given him the invaluable insight to motivate and inspire disparate personalities - some with egos larger than their abilities - to pull together as a team. It's just such expertise, which makes his talks so relevant to business people in their own fields of endeavour.

The type of encouragement, help and support he can give a team, also inspires his business audiences to put clear water between themselves and the competition.

Daniel Topolski has also pursued a successful career in media. His book 'True Blue' was made into the feature film shown for the Royal Command Performance in 1996. An experienced traveller, his BBC radio series 'Topolski's Travels' won the 1993 Travelex Radio award. At the 2000 Sydney Olympics and 2004 Athens Olympics he was the BBC's commentator covering the hotly contested rowing events.

Daniel was involved with the BBC Commentary team again in Beijing in 2008 and continues as Consultant to Oxford Boat Race Squad.
